On the way back from Nubben, we realized that other parts of the Lofotens had gotten more snow than the Ramberg area.

Our ride in NO
Our chariot for the journey: A Citroen C3 Nordic Edition. We like it. Great gas mileage, enough room for two plus luggage, and enough power to get us up the steep slopes. Most of those slopes have been in 4th gear, a few in 3rd, and one--a hairpin turn on the steepest slope of all--in 2d. I think the "Nordic Edition" gets you heated seats, along with a windshield that extends to just above your head, good for viewing the mountains. This was another mostly rainy day, so we don't have many pictures.
Caribou Country
This is caribou country in the high country on either side of the high altitudes where E6 crosses the Arctic Circle. We saw caribou about 5 times. During on e of our caribou encounters, they were quite skittish, stopping and watching me closely as I opened the car door. They began running away when I tried to move closer.
