Yesterday was a military history day

It was too warm to ski, and rain was in the forecast, so we started the morning at the Narvik town cemetery where many WWII soldiers are buried. We then went to the excellent Narvik Krigsmuseum (war museum) and inquired about other sites of WWII historical interest in the area. We then hiked around Narvik looking at the ruins of German WWII fortifications in the area. This photo is taken from one of those sites, looking across town to the slopes of Narvikfjellet. The upper slopes were obscured by clouds all day.
